Product Description:
It takes a lot to impress us and the TK5 from E-Twow is one of the few e-Scooters I can describe as genuinely premium.
The indicator lights are large and bright and mounted at handle bar height. They automatically turn off after 5 seconds. The headlamp has dip and high beam to switch between day and night light levels. The folding mechanism is ultra smooth thanks to a beefy spring inside. The fenders are big and integrated into the frame which makes them a solid part of the body without any compromise to asthetics. The spring suspension has the feel of a $15000 bed. I wanted to take a nap on it!
IP7 inside. 4 speed modes. Nutt hydraulic disc brakes. Park mode. Twist throttle. Bright easy to read display. Genuinely ergonomic access to the buttons. Estimated range 30 - 70 km. E-Twow App. 4 amp fast charger. It even comes with a complete set of spare screws. They really have thought of everything.
The pictures do not do it justice, and neither does the description.
Regenerative Braking
The only one of its kind in NZ, the TK5 electric scooter is the epitome of engineering excellence. It is an exceptionally well engineered. Designed with the highest standards of the automotive industry in mind. The electronic brake system uses the same advanced braking energy recovery technology as Tesla and BYD. There are three levels of Electronic Brake Assist. When the braking level is set to L3, up to 60% of the kinetic energy can be recovered and returned to the battery.
Brakes
The TK5 electric scooter is equipped with a double hydraulic disc brake, for optimum braking force, heat dissipation, stability, and security. When you use the EBS, there is no need to use the disc brake too often, but it is used for emergency or sudden stops.
The waterproof level of the battery, motor, controller, display screen, front, and rear lights of the scooter reaches IPX7, which means that these parts can withstand brief immersions in water.
The battery
TK5 uses an intelligent BMS with both software and hardware protection. Equipped with five-level protection settings, it can calculate the remaining battery charge SOC and battery health SOH. Equipped with an isolated CAN bus interface, it can output the remaining battery power SOC, battery output current, and internal battery temperature in real time. In addition, the battery is equipped with a dual protection mechanism of an overload safety switch and internal over-current protection. The battery has an automatic lock connector, and it’s very easy to change. All the connectors of the scooter are waterproof and designed for fast connection. If the battery power is low, the scooter enters the reserved mode. In this mode, the maximum speed does not exceed 12km/h, and the scooter can continue to ride for 3-5 kilometers, with a final mileage of 83 to 85 kilometers.
